Brian
Founder of New Horizons Pty Ltd (in Perth) in 1978, Brian drove that company’s growth to the point where (by 1997) it employed more than 40 staff, uplifted 25,000 holiday makers and enjoyed a turnover of more than $25 Million. After 19 years and having sold the business, Brian founded Travel Tree (Australasia) Pty Ltd, overseeing its strong development through a further 19 years. In 2001 Brian purchased Bussells Bushland Cottages in Margaret River then, through the next 15 years, added another 5 properties so that by 2016 he controlled 30 units of accommodation (55 bedrooms). Occupancy of these units grew to 90% by 2022, at which time Brian started to sell down. Now, his 2 remaining properties (17 units of accommodation) average 92% across the last 4 years.
These successes have come as the result of business acumen, owning properties of the right type in the right area and an intrinsic understanding of the market. Through 40+ years of business involvement, Brian’s mantra has been “Find the market, meet the market and satisfy the market.”
With all this experience behind him, he has teamed up with young people of impeccable values, and marketing flair, to offer a stress-free means of increasing YOUR occupancy and return on investment.
Mel
Based in Perth, Melanie brings over 19 years of experience across hospitality, marketing, and event management. With a background in Marketing, Business, and Events Management, she has established a strong reputation for delivering seamless, high-impact experiences throughout Western Australia and beyond.
Guided by a genuine passion for property, travel, and hospitality, Melanie excels at creating meaningful connections and memorable experiences. From developing project strategies and managing stakeholders to overseeing delivery and ensuring exceptional results, she approaches every initiative with organisation, creativity, and care.
Her extensive portfolio includes large-scale public events, corporate engagements, and brand activations, each executed with precision and professionalism. Renowned for her calm efficiency, attention to detail, and proactive communication, Melanie has earned the trust and respect of clients and collaborators alike.

Christine
Christine brings over 30 years of experience in the travel and tourism industry as a skilled Graphic and Web Designer, collaborating closely with Brian to support various business ventures through innovative and practical design solutions.
Her extensive background in both print and digital media enables her to craft websites that are not only visually appealing but also highly functional, ensuring a seamless user experience for clients and their customers.
